Recycle

I've just made a "CLAPPER" out of a set of butter patters/shapers, old fashioned wooden one's !!!

And I've got my eye on the water cooler at work !! I'm sure I could make something special with one of those empty water bottles !!!!

WHAT DO YOU ALL RECKON????

  1. We could turn into a stomp like group!!! The more variety the better, bring it on Cow Bell!! Today a clapper, tomorrow who knows, maybe a bum bell or a foot shaker....

  2. i think its a good idea to use recycled materials for percussion . When the weather is too wet or too hot you wont want to use your best drums so having a good supply of all weather bangables is a must !!.One thing to note is to give priority to letting your object freely vibrate but at the same time keeping it secure , this is the fine line with all percussion but when you get it right you could get a note out of anything. I like the idea of a line of water bottles to make a giant rhythm block !!. And what on earth is a bum bell ?

  3. I'm still laughing about letting my objects freely vibrate!!!!!!! I think they've been doing that for some years now !!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

I don't know what to make of a bum bell sounds a bit painful to me !!!!!!!! I think I've had a foot shaker in a cocktail bar in Hong Kong a few years back !!!LOL

  4. Yeh, it's the sound that's important. I put two table legs in the box that make a great sound, if played right. But are you sure those butter patters are not priceless antiques?
