Col(i.e. Colingo) goes to the Crypt

On a dasrk and windy Monday night
our Col ventured out with a step that was light
to visit the Cobweb Orchestra(see website) in M'bro Town Hall Crypt.

He felt a bit spare at first, among the flutes and violas
and all the sheet music and that,
Twas all a bit heavy (one was called Miserere)....

But after tea(20p) and biscuits(digestive) it got a bit better,
our Col found a bit of a beat
And we finished off brightly with the Monty Python theme
(which is actually the Liberty Bell March by Sousa).

We agreed to keep in touch, but learning sheety music
is quite a long way from our rhythmy seat-of-the-pantsy manicky way..
And tho' some of their music sounded cool,
It didn't reach the same bits as EE BY DRUM!!

  1. Go for it Colingo...breaking out...trying out...
Wot instrument did you take to treat their ears to?
Did you restrain from Eebydrum chanting?

  2. Love the expression "sheety music", not for the pun, but for the succint labelling of a whole approach to music. I'll modify this as "sheetsy music"
